Just submitted my portfolio for the review.

I figured I would post a quick update here since I already have stuff scanned and prepared.

I need to work on my figure drawing. I've caught myself copying the models quite a few times lately. Not really feeling the poses. And STRUCTURE!

Reversal, model sheet, tree studies..

Looking forward to Halloween! I told a friend I would be Nightcrawler and he said I would look a lot like a Na'vi from James Cameron's Avatar.

update

113A has been a lot of information to absorb. First of all, fascinating stuff on perspective that I never knew I never knew (everyone loves Pocahontas). I'm learning a lot, and the more I learn, the more I feel I need to know. Same with learning to paint with gouache. A little frustrated with the paint. I'm getting a little more used to it though.

Here are the studies of two rectilinear objects of choice I did for 113A. I was thinking to myself, "Why the heck did I pick a laptop?" Well, it won't be the last time.

Spring Twenty Ten

First entry....

Couple pages of sketches I did this week.

Spring break was alright. Worked on my reversal for a few days, then took light rail all over San Jose to do some sketching. The weather SUCKED. It was cold, cloudy, windy, and rainy. Sketching sitting on the sidewalk with my hands freezing and nose running was.... well, at least i got to practice. Thanks to the weather, I fell in love with hot chocolate.
...
...

My bike seat got stolen and I had to bike home without a seat. Horrible horrible.

Three more months and I will have been in this country for 5 years. Yeah..... it feels like 5.
